This is a Beautiful building at night, and daytime, too.

This building really is beautiful when the lights are shining on it at night and the background, which is Lake Erie, is totally black.  I took this photo on Saturday, October 9th, 2010.  The Lorain Lighthouse in Lorain, Ohio is a historic landmark on the shores of Lake Erie.  I usually visit there a couple times each year just to enjoy the scenery.  You can read more about this lighthouse  here , and see more photos, too.

Here's a few more of my photos that I've taken over the last few years.

These are in July, 2008.

Saturday Night Photo Excursion

Charles Berry Bridge, Lorain, Ohio

Karen and I have driven over to Lorain twice since early September so that I could get some night photos of of this bridge and the Lorain Lighthouse.  The first time we went was a total washout.  We didn't stay around long enough for the lights to come on at the Lighthouse, and it was too windy to get any good pictures of the bridge with the camera setting on my tripod.

So what did we accomplish during that early September trip?  A nice drive and a good dinner at one of the local restaurants.

The second trip (last Saturday night) was more successful. We stayed late enough for the lights to come on at the Lighthouse, and I also got a few good pictures of the bridge.

Here's a picture of the Lorain Lighthouse, too.  When I posted this on Flickr the title I used was "We'll leave the light on for ya!"
